The Story Behind JOMI.

JOMI began in Lagos with a simple proposition: that West African menswear belongs in the conversation about luxury — not as costume, but as couture. The house was founded by Olayiwola Soetan, working between Lagos and Dallas, with a long-running interest in what the agbada, the kaftan, and contemporary wears could be when taken seriously as design.

Our Craft.

Every piece is finished by hand at our Lekki atelier. We work in cotton, linen, cashmere wool, and a large library of West African weaves the house has been gathering for years. Shoulders set clean, seams quiet, the cut sized to a body — not a chart.

Kaftans, agbadas, and accessories. The references — fila, agbada, senator — stand on their own. The cloth does the rest.

Made to Order, Made to Last.

We don’t run sales. We don’t restock. Every garment is cut and sewn after the order is placed — not before. Standard pieces ship in one to two weeks. Bespoke commissions, three to six. A piece that is not selected is not made.

Our atelier is at Essenza Greenville Plaza, Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos — by appointment, walk-ins welcome during atelier hours. Browse the fabric library, sit for a fitting, begin a bespoke commission.
